Uptown Connect, a joint effort between ABQ RIDE and a private developer, is described as bringing hundreds of mixed-rate rentals along with commercial space and improved transit connections in the Uptown area.
Construction and negotiation updates
Three projects have reached active construction. Calle Cuarta at 3525 4th Street NW will provide 61 affordable units with live-work spaces and ground-level retail. Route 66 Flats at 7600 Central SW lists 47 affordable units aimed at supporting transitions from homelessness. Farolito Senior Community at 10501 Central NE is under construction as dedicated senior housing. Park Central at 300 San Mateo NE remains in contract negotiation with plans for 110 units total, including 41 affordable.
